The client database intake system determines the client's eligibility and tracks
their: name, address, case facts, advice provided and other important statistical information. Additionally,
the database is able to track the activities of the Homeless Outreach programs. SAHLOP also maintains
paper case files which document all the work completed on behalf of each client.
The supervising attorney of the project and the project staff paralegal keep track of all clients assisted
through the project. Case lists are generated on a quarterly basis and reviewed to ensure proper and
adequate services are being provided to the client and to ensure that cases are being closed in a timely
manner.
LASOC evaluates all programs and special projects regularly to ensure that they are opperating
efficiently. Maintaining a strong infrastructure through the use of a compluter database along with strong
management oversight provides an opportunity for each case to be evaluated separately.
SAHLOP measures success on a contimuum because for some homeless clients the fact that they sought
legal services is a great success while for others, achieving a final resolution on their legal matter is also
determined a successful outcome.
Exhibit A-1
