The methods of keeping track of
the residents include: weekly alumni support group meetings, an alumni newsletter that is written by
former residents, several events each year to which the program alumni are invited, the presence of a
former resident on the board of directors, and the inclusion of former residents in speaking engagements
on behalf of the agency. Each year we ask those alumni for which we still have current contact information
to fill out a survey to help us determine the long-term outcomes of their participation in the "Steps to
Independence" program. We are specifically asking about their current living situation and whether or not
they have experienced another incidence of homelessness after leaving the program.
Exhibit A-1
