City: Rancho Santa Margarita <br />The City of Rancho Santa Margarita proposes to use the 2009 Justice Assistance <br />Grant funding as follows: <br />Proiect Obiectives (Must be linked to meaningful and measurable outcomes consistent with <br />the goals of the Recovery Act; refer to solicitation) <br />• Enhance public safety through improvements in traffic collision investigation. <br />• Reduce liability through improvements in recording officer - citizen contacts. <br />Goal: <br />• Provide traffic collision investigation software and training for all Traffic Deputies and <br />Community Service Officers. <br />• Provide high quality digital voice recorders for both Motorcycle Officers and <br />Community Service Officers. <br />Activities: (which can be started and completed expeditiously, and in a manner that <br />maximizes job creation and economic benefits) <br />• Purchase a traffic collision investigation computer program with 4 site licenses. <br />Provide on -site training in the use of the program for all users. <br />• Purchase 6 digital voice recorders for issue to Motorcycle Officers and Community <br />Service Officers. <br />QuantiFable Performance Measures: (Established by the agency to assess whether grant <br />objectives are being met) <br />• Types of equipment purchased with JAG dollars during the reporting period. <br />• Number of hours of training provided to criminal justice staff. <br />• Percent of criminal justice staff who exhibited an increase in knowledge during the <br />reporting period. <br />Timeline or proiect plan (Identifying when the goals and objectives will be completed) <br />• Purchase of software to be completed by September 30, 2009. All training to be <br />completed no later than December 31, 2009. <br />• Purchase of digital recorders and issued to officers to be completed by September 30, <br />2009. <br />Funding: <br />Total Allocation: $15,373 <br />PROACT Contribution $ 0 <br />Administrative Fee (9 %): $1,383.57 <br />Funds Retained by City: $13,989.43 <br />2009- F1801 -CA -SB Page 49 of 61 <br />
