Based on this candidate list, <br />the Department would be in a position to immediately fill vacancies with qualified <br />candidates, thus remaining consistent with the Recovery Act. <br />Quantifiable Performance Measures: <br />Grant performance will be measured through prompt hiring and deployment of 2 sworn <br />police officers to front line law enforcement positions. <br />Time Line: <br />Month 1 - Hire Candidates <br />Month 2 - Begin new hire training <br />Month 3 - Retain new hires for duration of grant and beyond <br />Funding: <br />Total Grant Allocation: <br />$917,620.00 <br />PROACT Contribution: <br />$91,760.00 <br />Administrative Fee (9 %): <br />$82,586.00 <br />Funds Retained by City: <br />$743,274.00 <br />Seal Beach City: <br />The City of Seal Beach proposes to use the 2009 Justice Assistance Grant funding as <br />follows: <br />Proiect Objectives (Must be linked to meaningful and measurable outcomes consistent with <br />the goals of the Recovery Act; refer to solicitation) <br />The City of Seal Beach Police Department will use JAG funds for training, personnel and <br />equipment. The City of Seal Beach will purchase crime analysis software and hardware <br />including computer, monitor, and large format printer. Training personnel in the use of the <br />new crime analysis software and personnel costs associated with the training. <br />Goal: <br />The goal is to provide the City of Seal Beach with crime analysis hardware, software and <br />the appropriate training to develop as close to "real time" crime analysis as possible. This <br />information will help reduce crime in the community and provide staff with better <br />efficiency to do their jobs. <br />Activities: (which can be started and completed expeditiously, and in a manner that <br />maximizes job creation and economic benefits) <br />2009 - 171801 -CA -S13 Page 54 of 61 <br />
