Video Detection — The system needs to be inspected to ensure <br />normal operation. All detection zones needs to be checked for <br />proper detection and the system needs to be verified that it is <br />capable of applying calls to the controller. <br />Wireless Detection — The City utilizes Sensys Network's <br />Wireless Detection System. The system consists of Sensors, <br />Repeater, Access Point, and Contact Closure Cards. Ensure that <br />the system is fully functional. <br />o Conflict Monitor Certification (yearly task): <br />Once a year, the Contractor shall perform Certification Testing on <br />Conflict Monitors used by the City. The Tester used must be capable <br />of testing Conflict Monitors as defined by NEMA TS 1, NEMA TS2, <br />FHWA/CalTrans System 170, and ODOT /TXDOT 2070. The <br />Contractor shall submit the make and model of the Proposed Tester to <br />be used for review by the City. A determination will be made by the <br />City as to whether the Tester is acceptable. <br />o Battery Backup System (If applicable): <br />Some intersections are equipped with battery backup system. For <br />these locations, the Contractor shall test and verify that the system <br />is charged and in working order. <br />o Ancillary Equipment: <br />The Contractor shall check all ancillary equipment (load switches, <br />power supply, flashers, Emergency Vehicle Pre - emption, ctc.) in <br />the cabinet for proper operation. <br />• Field Equipment: <br />• The Contractor shall check all pedestrian push buttons for <br />proper operation. <br />• The Contractor shall check all vehicle and pedestrian signal <br />heads for proper operation. <br />• The Contractor shall check all poles and standards for damages. <br />• Contractor shall clean Video Detection camera lens once a year <br />• Contractor shall check and notify the City of any missing or <br />damaged Internally Illuminated Street Name Signs (IISNS), <br />Reflectorized Street Name Signs (RSNS) or traffic signs <br />mounted on the traffic signal poles. <br />• Maintenance of safety lights at traffic signal are done as part of <br />Street Lighting System Maintenance only. <br />
