Additionally, handling tasks such as drafting police documents in the <br /> field, rather than returning to the station, will have an impact on the number of report- <br /> writing overtime hours used. <br /> Timeline andfor project plan: The project plan is to requisition the purchase of <br /> broadband services and fully implement the project within three months of formal award <br /> acceptance. <br /> Funding: <br /> Total Allocation: $33,543 <br /> PROACT Contribution: (possible 10%) $0 <br /> Administrative Fee (9%): $3,018 <br /> Funds Retained by City/County: $30,525 <br /> City: FOUNTAIN VALLEY <br /> The City of FOUNTAIN VALLEY proposes to use the 2009 Justice Assistance Grant <br /> funding as follows: <br /> Project Objectives (Type of programs to be funded and need for the programs; refer to <br /> solicitation) <br /> The objective of this program is to assist the Fountain Valley Police Department in <br /> coordinating the download, access, and control of digital images taken during criminal <br /> investigations. Currently the Police Department's digital imaging management is uneven <br /> and requires an upgrade. <br /> Goals of the project: <br /> The current system places the digital images the officers and crime scene investigators take <br /> into various locations which make it problematic and time consuming to research and later <br /> retrieve for court or other purposes. A hardware and software solution currently available <br /> will allow digital images taken by police personnel to be permanently attached to the <br /> existing laser images of the police report itself.
