ATTACHMENT A <br /> Goals of the project: <br /> The goal of this project is to purchase and program 24 new portable hand-held 800 MHz <br /> radios for issue to each La Habra Police Officer, thus enhancing the department's <br /> technological and radio communications capabilities. <br /> Strategies to be used for proiect: <br /> The total cost of purchasing and programming 24 hand-held 800 MHz radios is <br /> approximately $100,000. The department will use all of the JAG funds that are retained by <br /> the city to purchase the radios (approx. $20K). The department will provide the additional <br /> funding (approx. $80K) beyond JAG funds to complete the purchase of the radios for <br /> issuance to each officer. The purchase of radios will be in the United States of America. <br /> Quantifiable Performance Measures: (Established by the agency to assess whether grant <br /> objectives are being met; refer to solicitation) <br /> The department will monitor the purchase of the specified radios, program the units, add <br /> the radios to the Department inventory and issue the items directly to the field officers, <br /> thereby enhancing technological and radio communications capabilities. <br /> Timeline andfor proiect plan: (Identifying when the goals and objectives will be completed) <br /> The expected time line for completion is during the 2009/2010 fiscal year. <br /> Funding: <br /> Total Allocation: $22,401.00 <br /> PROACT Contribution: (possible 10%) $ 0 <br /> Administrative Fee (9%): $2,016.09 <br /> Funds Retained by City: $20, 384.91 <br /> City: Lake Forest <br /> The City of Lake Forest proposes to use the 2009 Justice Assistance Grant funding as <br /> follows: <br /> Project Objectives: The City of Lake Forest (Police Services) will use the appropriated JAG <br /> funds to improve officer safety and enhance policing operations through the purchase of <br /> tactical flashlights, breeching tools, and other related equipment to be utilized in the field. <br /> Goals of the proiect: The goal of the project is to purchase equipment that will improve our <br /> officer's safety and/or enhance policing operations. <br /> <br /> 2009- DJ-BX-0033 Page 16 of 27 <br /> 20A-23 <br /> <br />
