REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL <br />ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENT FOR THE WIDENING OF BRISTOL STREET <br />PHASE 3 (FROM CIVIC CENTER DRIVE TO SEVENTEENTH STREET) <br />PHASE 4 (FROM WARNER AVENUE TO SAINT ANDREW PLACE) <br />I. INTRODUCTION <br />The City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency desires to utilize the services of a qualified consulting <br />engineering firm for the preparation of environmental compliance documentation for the Bristol <br />Street widening project from Civic Center Drive and Seventeenth Street (Phase 3) and from Warner <br />Avenue to Saint Andrew Place (Phase 4). The major elements of the project are: <br />Update the environmental compliance documents for California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA). <br />Update the environmental compliance documents for National Environmental Policy Act <br />(NEPA). <br />The limits of the project are shown in Exhibit I. <br />II. PROJECT BACKGROUND <br />Bristol Street between Warner Avenue and Memory Lane from a four -lane roadway to a six -lane <br />arterial to provide adequate vehicular capacity within the City's northing limits. In 1990, the <br />Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) pursuant of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) <br />and Environmental Impact Report (EIR) pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA) were approved for the widening of the 3.9-mile section of the Bristol Street Corridor from <br />Warner Avenue to Memory Lane. In 1991, City Council adopted the 3.9-mile improvement as the <br />Bristol Street Corridor Specific Plan. <br />The following documents and files are available on the attached compact disc: <br />A.
