Chapter 12 Responses to Comments Received Since Publication of the Final EIR <br />Response to Comment 0CPW -4 <br />Comment OCPW -4 addresses the proposed amendment to the Santa Ana General Plan Land Use <br />Element. The City will modify Item 5.5 in Table 2, page 24 of the Land Use Element to read: "Ensure <br />that post - development hydrology and storm water runoff rates and velocities from a site have no <br />significant adverse impact on downstream drainage facilities, flood protection levels, erosion, or stream <br />habitat." This comment does not address environmental issues or the content or adequacy of the Draft <br />EIR. No additional response is required. <br />Response to Comment 0CPW -5 <br />Comment OCPW -5 addresses the proposed amendment to the Santa Ana General Plan Land Use <br />Element. The City will review and update as necessary the map depicted in Exhibit A -9 Flood Hazards in <br />order to accurately reflect current FEMA FIRM Maps, Panel 0144J. This comment does not address <br />environmental issues or the content or adequacy of the Draft EIR. No additional response is required. <br />Response to Comment 0CPW -6 <br />Comment OCPW -6 addresses the proposed amendment to the Santa Ana General Plan Land Use <br />Element. The City will modify the first paragraph under Flood Hazards on Page A -41 to read as follows: <br />"The Santa Ana River is the major drainage channel flowing through the City and many of the major <br />storm drains in the city are (directly or indirectly) connected to it. The lower Santa Ana River from Weir <br />Canyon Road to the Pacific Ocean was improved as part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Santa <br />Ana Mainstem Project. The reach through Santa Ana consists mostly of a trapezoidal, concrete lined <br />channel with a bottom width of 180 feet." This comment does not address environmental issues or the <br />content or adequacy of the Draft EIR.
