Evapotranspiration, <br />12. Seasonal temperatures, <br />13. Prevailing wind condition, <br />14. Time of day or night, <br />15. Type of plant and root structure <br />7. Irrigation Technician shall be responsible for and bear the cost of service and repair <br />to all irrigation components from the remote control valve, downstream (including the <br />remote control valve). <br />a. The responsibility includes, but is not limited to: <br />i. The remote control valve, <br />ii. Flow sensors, <br />iii. Lateral lines, <br />iv. Fittings, <br />v. Risers, <br />vi. All sprinkler heads, and <br />vii. Drip irrigation components <br />8. Monitoring Systems: Irrigation Technician shall weekly inspect the irrigation systems <br />for broken and clogged heads, malfunctioning or leaking valves, or any other condition, <br />which hampers the correct operation of the system. <br />a. Authorization must be obtained from the Project Manager or designee before <br />proceeding with work not covered under normal maintenance work and the <br />malfunctioning sprinkler system area shall be irrigated by a portable irrigation <br />method until all authorized repairs have been completed to the Project Manager or <br />designee's satisfaction. <br />b. Each irrigation controller(s) and system shall be checked weekly for proper water <br />scheduling and coverage. <br />c. Make all necessary adjustments to heads, which throw onto roadways, walkways, <br />windows, or out of intended area of coverage. <br />d. Irrigation Technician shall clean and adjust sprinkler heads as needed for proper <br />coverage. <br />e. Each system shall be manually operated at the irrigation controller and observed <br />on a bi-monthly basis. <br />f. Controllers shall be programmed to water during nighttime hours between <br />approximately midnight and 7:00 a.m. <br />i. No watering shall occur during the daytime unless associated with irrigation <br />check/repairs or with prior approval by the Projects Manager or designee. <br />9. Irrigation Technician shall provide irrigation personnel fully trained in all phases of <br />landscape irrigation systems operation, maintenance, adjustment, and repair. <br />a.
