Irrigation Technician shall maintain an adequate stock of medium and high usage <br />items for repair of all irrigation systems. <br />10. Automatic controllers and/or enclosures shall be locked while unattended. <br />11. All controller enclosures must be painted in approved colors, as needed, to prevent <br />rusting and maintain good appearance. <br />a. System Maintenance: Once a year during the month of March, Irrigation <br />Technician shall: <br />i. Wipe down the equipment in the irrigation controller cabinet to remove all <br />dust and dirt, <br />ii. Clean all electrical connections, <br />iii. Install bait traps for control of ants, <br />iv. Replace batteries as required, <br />v. Clean and remove intruding soil in valve boxes and <br />vi. Replace gravel, as originally specified <br />12. Repairs made to the irrigation system must be made in accordance with the system's <br />original design with products equal to or higher quality than currently provided. <br />a. Workmanship shall be performed in accordance with industry standards. <br />13. Irrigation Technician shall be responsible for regular monitoring of all systems and <br />correcting for: <br />a. Coverage, <br />b. Adjustment, and <br />c. Clogging of lines and other sprinkler components. <br />14. All irrigation systems shall be inspected and adjusted on a weekly basis or more <br />frequently as required, considering the water requirements of each remote control <br />valve. <br />a. A written irrigation tracking sheet indicating the system location, date inspected, <br />and watering schedule shall be submitted to the Projects Manager or designee at <br />the end of each week. <br />15. Irrigation Technician shall observe and note deficiencies occurring from the original <br />design of facilities and review these findings with the Projects Manager or designee <br />so necessary improvements can be considered. <br />MEDIAN AND RIGHT OF WAY LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE — RFP #25-058 <br />27 <br />
