The hones are to be .sold to first time homebuyers with incomes at <br /> ar below ~0 percent of the area median. The three-bedroom home wi~.l se11 <br /> for 170,~0~; and the two, four-bedroom homes will sell for $175,000 <br /> each. Construction of the homes is now complete and the three families <br /> selected through the sales lottery process have been qualified to <br /> purohase the homes. Escrow closed on one property 1.n late December 2009 <br /> and the others are e~peeted to close shortly thereafter. <br /> RI~MoFadden <br /> E <br /> `r <br /> ~n January 5, 2009, the City Counc~.1. and Agency approved a DDA w~.th RI <br /> McFadden, LLC far development of twa parcels at the garner of i~c~'adden <br /> and grange. The project consists of two single family residences: one s <br /> being a 1,95 squire feet, 4-bedroom home, and the other a 1,21 square <br /> feet, -bedroom home. The homes were constructed in 15 days and will be <br /> sold through a lottery process to be held at a future date. . <br /> Scattered bites RFP <br /> ~n actober 2009, the Agency released a Request for Qualifications for s <br /> the selection of qualified developers far 1 Agency-owned parcels. an <br /> Deoember 21, 2009, the Agency selected three developers far the project. <br /> Habitat for Huanity of grange County was selected as developer for <br /> single-family ha~s~.ng at sites identified as 719 & 812 N. Concord Street; <br /> 1114, 1121, S, Cypress Avenue; 114 Eastwood Avenue; 4509 Edinger <br /> Avenue; 4010 & 4018 w. McFadden Avenue; 410 & 4110 1~oFadden; and 1029 <br /> McLean Dri~re. Habitat is a non-profit corporation created for the purpose <br /> of constructing and selling new homes to ~.aw and moderate inoome <br /> families. <br /> t <br /> <br /> Also approved was OHDC and Development as the developer far mu~.t~,- <br /> fami~.y hauling at sites identified as 217, 219 ~ 45, 47 B~.rch <br /> Street; 2~~4 ~ X08 hush Street; and Spurgeon 22nd Street. <br /> This team has partnered with the City and the Agency to provide aver X00 <br /> affordable homes for Santa Ana residents, a~.d they are able to prov~.de s <br /> the necessary experience to develop and manage the rental sites. <br /> <br />
