T h e policy ensur es <br />complian ce w ith W IOA r egulations and suppo11s youth in ga ining work readiness ski lls , <br />experience, and exposure to various industries th at enhan ce the ir employment outcomes. <br />BACKGROUND <br />WIOA emphasizes the impo11ance of providing youth with oppo1tunities to acquire the skills and <br />work experience needed for su ccessful transitions into the workforce . Work experiences are <br />designed to h elp youth deve lop professional skills and gain direct exposure to rea l-world work <br />environments, fac ilitating career exp loration and in creasing employability. <br />SCOPE <br />This poli cy applies to all youth pa11icipants enroll ed in the W IOA Youth Program who are <br />eli gible for work experience oppo1tunities .
