Councilmember Lopez spoke in opposition to any amendments. <br />City Manager Nunez spoke regarding finding a balance between sharing <br />information and affecting families of those who are detained. <br />Councilmember Bacerra reiterated that the item is solely for the submission of an <br />FOIA request. <br />Councilmember Penaloza spoke in support of the item. <br />Councilmember Phan spoke regarding the information that will actually be <br />disclosable under the Freedom of Information Act. <br />Councilmember Lopez spoke in support of working with the nonprofit Immigrant <br />Defenders Law Center. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Penaloza moved to approve the recommended <br />action for Item No. 26, seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Vazquez. <br />The motion carried, 7-0, by the following roll call vote: <br />AYES: COUNCILMEMBER BACERRA, COUNCILMEMBER <br />HERNANDEZ, COUNCILMEMBER LOPEZ, <br />COUNCILMEMBER PENALOZA, COUNCILMEMBER PHAN, <br />MAYOR PRO TEM VAZQUEZ, MAYOR AMEZCUA <br />NOES: NONE <br />ABSTAIN: NONE <br />ABSENT: NONE <br />Status: 7 — 0 — Pass <br />27.
