2
tenant, so the building stands almost empty. As a result, the homeless
have moved in. We have more drug paraphernalia and usage, along with
smeared feces on our building than we have ever had before. This is a
result of the moves already made by the City.

Should this proposal be passed and our zoning be changed, it will
decrease the value of our property by at least $2M. It will narrow the
scope of who we can lease the building to. Why is this happening to us
when we are not the issue???

As I listened to comments last night, it is clear that the planning group
has not done an economic study ‐ one that includes loss of employment,
taxes, devaluaƟon of property and most importantly the cost of legal fees
to fight this. There are clear liabiliƟes for the city. This consƟtutes
unlawful seizure property, the AmorƟzaƟon plan is a liability and where is
the compensaƟon for our losses?

Several of the Commissioners spelled out the basics of what is missing
from the work done to date. Why haven’t these acƟons been taken?

I can understand the concern of the residences, but in fact they moved to
the area with the zoning that was already in place. If there is a concern
about environmental issues, why was the low‐income housing built
behind Fuller right next to a freeway where fumes and toxins are present
24/7?

I truly hope that this basic work will be completed, that the liabiliƟes be
assessed and that someone will reach out to us to talk about our
business, the loss of value of our property that has already taken place. I
have called several Ɵmes, and no one has responded.

Thank you again for addressing these issues.
Planning Commission 1 – 186 3/6/2025
