Box 1988 <br />Santa Ana, California 92702 <br />www.santa-ana.org/pba <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />BEFORE THE SANTA ANA HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION <br /> <br />Historic Resources Commission Action: The Historic Resources Commission will hold a Public <br />Hearing to receive public testimony, and will take action on the item described below. Their decision is <br />final unless appealed to the City Council within 10 days of the decision by any interested party or group. <br /> <br />Project Location: 2208 North Flower Street located within the Single Family Residential (R1) <br />zoning district. <br /> <br />Project Applicant: Vy Lam Han & Stephanie Tuhan Phan (Property Owners) <br /> <br />Project Description: Applicants are requesting approval for Historic Exterior Modification <br />Application (HEMA) No. 2024-04 for the property known as the C.J. Young House, which is part of the <br />National Register-listed Floral Park Historic District. The proposed interior remodel of the single-family <br />residence includes the demolition of partition walls and reconfiguration of the floor plan to accommodate <br />the kitchen, dining room, family room, primary bedroom, and laundry room. The exterior work includes <br />removal of existing windows, removal of a sliding door, removal of wood windows and a swing door, <br />and installation of new steel windows and metal door/sliding doors. Work to also include removal of an <br />existing window for the detached garage, and legalizing previously unpermitted changes to the <br />detached garage, including removal of sliding door. <br /> <br />Environmental Impact: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the CEQA <br />Guidelines, the project is exempt from further review under Section 15331, Class 31, as this action is <br />designed to preserve a historic resource. Notice of Exemption, Environmental Review No. 2024-85 will <br />be filed for this project. <br /> <br />Meeting Details: This matter will be heard on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. in City Hall, <br />Ross Annex, Conference Room 1600, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701.
