Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Dear City of Santa Ana Team,
I'm writing as a lifelong Santa Ana resident and former youth soccer player to express my appreciation for La
Academia and the difference it's making for our community. I often say I wish La Academia had existed when I
was growing up. I learned about the program through my younger brother, who played with the club for years
and is now attending the University of La Verne on a full -ride scholarship ---an opportunity made possible by La
Academia's connections, training quality, and caring mentorship.
Since La Academia was founded, I've seen that same story unfold for many players: doors to college and
careers opening through a program that pairs high-level soccer with genuine support for families. What stands
out most is the culture —they hold students to high standards on the field and in the classroom, communicate
constantly with families, and build character, discipline, and leadership. It's not just player development; it's
people development.
Because of that impact, I'm reaching out to commend the City for the support provided so far and to ask that we
consider ways to deepen the partnership so that even more Santa Ana youth can benefit.
Thank you!
Martin Zambrano
Samueli Academy
Alumni Relations and Success Manager
Head Coach Varsity Boys Golf
JV Boys Soccer Coach
