STAFF MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Pat Whitaker <br />• Provided updates on the following development projects: <br />NexuslSandpointe Neighborhood, Mola, First American Title, <br />MainPlacelSegerstrom, BirtcherlDowntown, and Original Mikes. <br />Matt Lamb <br />• Answered Chairperson Sarmiento's questions relating to the martini <br />bar, an evening-type establishment, that is proposed for the street <br />level of the Santora Building, facing Broadway. <br />• Noted that the Restaurant Association plans to "pump up" Downtown <br />night life. <br />7. COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Vice-Chair erson Macres <br />• Thanked Commissioner Rodriguez for the work that he has done on <br />the B1D process. <br />• Thanked staff for their presentations. <br />Commissioner Leon <br />• Thanked Commissioner Rodriguez for the extensive work that he and <br />his colleagues have done on the BID process. Requested that the <br />Commission present proclamations to the colleagues, once the <br />process is complete, expressing its appreciation, <br />• Stated that it is important for either Commissioner Rodriguez or <br />Chairperson Sarmiento to make a presentation on the Commission's <br />BID recommendation to the City Council. Information should be <br />included on the processes involved. <br />• Thanked Pat Whitaker for her response regarding the gas station and <br />mini market development at 17t~' and Broadway. Asked if she could be <br />informed of any plans for an ABC license. <br />• Noted that for quite some time there have been piles of dirt in the lot <br />on Parton, right across the street from Starbucks. Believes that they <br />could present a safety hazard. Mr. Lamb stated that the piles are from <br />CRHC MINUTES 5 SEPTEMBER 21, 2004 <br />
