by the parties hereto on November 21 , 1977, and including Field Operations <br /> Divisional Order No. 15, dated February 15, 1978, and attached to said <br /> Settlement Agreement as "Exhibit A." <br /> B. Minimum Workweek. The minimum workweek for all employees covered <br /> by this Agreement shall consist of forty (40) hours. <br /> C. Workweek Schedule During Schedule Changes. Effective upon the <br /> execution of this Agreement, the City agrees to implement the following policy <br /> when scheduling days off during shift, assignment or other schedule changes; <br /> except in cases of emergency or other situations requiring unscheduled <br /> overtime duty, the City agrees, when rescheduling days off for employees to be <br /> affected by a shift, work assignments or other schedule changes, to schedule <br /> no more and no less than five (5) regular and normal workdays, as defined in <br /> subsection A above, during any calendar week; however, and except in cases of <br /> emergency, no employee shall be scheduled to work more than five (5) <br /> consecutive days without the employee's consent. It is the intent of the <br /> parties that each employee so affected, shall receive two (2) consecutive days <br /> off whenever practical.. <br /> For purposes of this subsection, a calendar week begins at 0001 hours on <br /> sunday and ends at 2400 hours on the following Saturday. <br /> ARTICLE IV - SALARIES <br /> Section 1 . Basic Compensation Plan. There is hereby established a basic <br /> compensation plan for all members of the Santa Ana Police Benevolent <br /> Association who are now employed or will in the future be employed in any of <br /> the designated classifications of employment listed in this Agreement and its <br /> attachments. <br /> Section 2. Salary Schedu]Q.. The basic salary schedule, attached hereto <br /> in a matrix format as Exhibit A, and made a part hereof as though set forth <br /> in full herein, provides numerous salary rate ranges, each comprised of five <br /> (5) steps or rates of pay. <br /> The respective rate ranges are identified by a three digit number. The <br /> steps within each range are identified by the letters "A" through "E" <br /> inclusive, with the "A" step being the lowest step in the range. The purpose <br /> of each step and the length of service required for advancement to the next <br /> higher step within a particular salary rate range are set forth in Section 7 <br /> below. <br /> Section as. <br /> A. Effective July 1 , 1983, the base salaries of employees covered <br /> by this Agreement shall be increased by five (5) salary rate ranges (2.5%) . <br /> B. Effective January 1 , 1985, the base salary of each employee as <br /> adjusted above shall be increased by ten (10) salary rate ranges (5%) . <br /> The assignment of classes to salary rate ranges during the term of this <br /> Agreement resulting from said increases are listed in Exhibit B, which is <br /> attached and made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein. <br /> 2 <br />
