<br />Any spill volume not recovered from a drainage conveyance system is considered a <br />discharge to surface water, unless the drainage conveyance system discharges to a <br />dedicated stormwater infiltration basin or facility (e.g., infiltration pit, percolation <br />pond). <br />A spill from an Enrollee-owned and/or operated lateral that discharges to a surface <br />water. <br />Category 2: A discharge of sewage: <br /> That is 1,000 gallons or greater. <br /> That does not discharge to a surface water. <br /> That enters a drainage conveyance system but is fully recovered and returned to <br />the sanitary sewer system. <br />Category 3: A discharge of sewage: <br /> That is greater than or equal to 50 gallons and less than 1,000 gallons. <br /> That does not discharge to a surface water. <br /> That enters a drainage conveyance system but is fully recovered and returned to <br />the sanitary sewer system. <br />Category 4: A discharge of sewage: <br /> That is less than 50 gallons. <br /> That does not discharge to a surface water. <br /> That enters a drainage conveyance system but is fully recovered and returned to <br />the sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br />Private Lateral Spills: <br /> Discharges of untreated or partially treated wastewater resulting from blockages <br />or other problems within a privately owned sewer lateral connection to the <br /> <br />REVISION 2.0 (4/23) 5 <br /> <br />
