Santa Ana Vision Zero Update <br />November 4, 2025 <br />Page 2 <br />5 <br />4 <br />0 <br />7 <br />Two new sample non-priority corridors/street segments (1-2 miles long) will also be <br />included as part of the scope of work – Alton Avenue from Bristol Street to Bear Street <br />and Bear Street from Segerstrom Avenue to MacArthur Boulevard. These non-priority <br />segments will serve as examples for how Vision Zero based improvements may be <br />incorporated into street improvement projects throughout the City. All seven new <br />corridor/street segments were selected based on recent collision data, coupled with <br />bicycle and pedestrian activity and are depicted in Figure 1 below. <br />This expansion aims to enhance traffic safety measures, reduce traffic-related fatalities <br />and severe injuries, and promote a more pedestrian and cyclist-friendly urban <br />environment in more areas of the City of Santa Ana. <br />Figure 1: Additional Priority Corridors/Segments <br />Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 25-026 was issued on February 18, 2025 on the City’s <br />online bid management and publication system, PlanetBids.
