i SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Southern California District of the Associated General Contractors of California. <br /> Copies of these Standard Specifications are available from the Publisher of Building <br /> News, Incorporated, 10801 National Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90064, <br /> telephone (310) 202-7775. <br /> The Standard Specifications set forth above will control the general provisions, <br /> construction materials, and construction methods for this contract, except as <br /> amended by the Special Provisions or other contract documents. The following <br /> Special Provisions, or other contract documents are supplementary and in addition <br /> to the provisions of the Standard Specifications, unless otherwise noted. Only <br /> those sections requiring elaborations, amendments, specifying of options or <br /> additions are called out. <br /> 1.3 SUBCONTRACTING <br /> This section shall conform to Section 1-6.2 of the Standard Specifications and these <br /> Special Provisions <br /> No performance of this contract or any portion thereof may be assigned or <br /> subcontracted by Contractor without the express written consent of the Agency. <br /> Any attempt by the Contractor to assign or subcontract any performance of the <br /> terms of this contract without said consent shall be null and void and shall constitute <br /> a default under this contract. <br /> In the event of such a default, the Agency may immediately terminate this contract. <br /> In the event the Agency consents to assignment or subcontracting, each term and <br /> condition of this contract shall be binding on the assigns, successors or <br /> administrators of the respective parties. <br /> In the event the Agency consents to subcontracting, the Contractor shall include in <br /> all subcontracts the following provision: "This contract is a subcontract under the <br /> terms of a prime contract with the City of Santa Ana. All provisions of that prime <br /> contract shall apply to this subcontract." <br /> The Contractor and all subcontractors must obtain and maintain in effect a valid <br /> City of Santa Ana Business License prior to commencement of work, and during <br /> the entire time that work is being performed under the contract. All permits and <br /> licenses necessary to the performance of this project shall be secured by the <br /> Contractor at the Contractor's own expense. The Contractor shall pay all taxes <br /> properly assessed against any equipment or property used or required in <br /> connection with the performance of security services. <br /> The prime contractor agrees to pay each subcontractor under this prime contract <br /> for satisfactory performance of its contract no later than 10 days from the receipt of <br /> each payment the prime contractor receives from City of Santa Ana. Any delay or <br /> postponement of payment from the above referenced time frame may occur only <br /> for good cause following written approval of the City of Santa Ana.
