SCOPE OF WORK <br /> v <br /> Prior to the start of construction operations, the Contractor shall notify the Police <br /> and Fire Departments of the Agency, giving the approximate starting date, <br /> completion date, and the name and telephone number of responsible persons who <br /> may be contacted at any hour in the event of a critical condition. <br /> Unless noted otherwise in the above descriptions,ALL other work relating to signing <br /> and striping, including but not limited to removal and installation of signs, posts, <br /> markers, rpm's, stripes, pavement markings, curb markings and slurry seal shall be <br /> considered included in the unit price paid for as itemized in the bid document. This <br /> unit price shall include full compensation for furnishing labor, materials, tools, <br /> equipment, other incidentals for work as shown on the plans, in the Specifications <br /> and in the Signing and Striping Maintenance Special Provisions and no additional <br /> payment will allowed therefore. <br /> 1.12 WORK BY CITY FORCES BECAUSE OF NONCONFORMANCE BY <br /> CONTRACTOR <br /> Should the Contractor fail to correct deficiencies or public nuisances that have been <br /> created because of his/her operation, then these will be considered to be of an <br /> emergency nature, and will call for the Agency to move in on the project to take <br /> corrective action. Such work will be done on a force account basis with an additional <br /> callout charge. There is a minimum two-hour charge for labor on any callout plus <br /> an additional callout charge of$200. <br /> 1.13 STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION <br /> The Contractor shall review and understand the State General Construction Activity <br /> Storm Water Permit before submitting a bid. By submitting a bid, the Contractor <br /> acknowledges satisfaction as to the requirements of the State General Construction <br /> Activity Storm Water Permit. <br /> The Contractor is hereby notified that specific construction practices in the Standard <br /> Specifications, Section 3- 12.6.3, Responsibilities of the Contractor" are considered <br /> to be Best Management Practices. Applicable construction practices in the <br /> Standard Specifications shall be incorporated into the work performed in the <br /> Agency. <br /> Payment for Storm Water Pollution Prevention shall be included in the various items <br /> of work involved, and shall include full compensation for conforming to Contractor's <br /> actual construction practices, and no additional payment will be made therefore. <br /> 2. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 2.1 TYPES OF SERVICES <br /> Services and work to be performed by awarded Contractor shall consist of <br /> furnishing all materials, labor, tools, expendable equipment, traffic control, <br /> transportation and product handling, delivery and storage necessary to complete <br /> the maintenance, repair and installation of roadway signs and striping as described <br /> herein including, but not be limited to, the following: <br /> City of Santa Ana Page 8 of 71 <br />
