i SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 1) Provide sign maintenance, repair and installation utilizing City or <br /> Contractor provided signs on existing or Contractor-installed posts or <br /> poles as specified by City; <br /> 2) Provide roadway striping maintenance, repair and installation using <br /> paint, thermoplastic, or other material as specified by City; <br /> 3) Provide pavement markings installation using paint, thermoplastic, pre- <br /> cut thermoplastic, or other material as specified by City; <br /> 4) Provide curb marking maintenance, repair and installation using paint or <br /> other material as specified by City; and <br /> 5) Provide installation of bollards and metal beam guardrails including end <br /> pieces and wooden posts and removal and disposal of damaged <br /> guardrail as specified by City. <br /> 6) Emergency Response <br /> a) In case of immediate need to replace certain damaged regulatory <br /> signs due to accident or other incidents, where without such a sign <br /> could result in immediate hazards to the public andfor property, the <br /> Contractor shall provide immediate temporary signs and later <br /> replace with permanent signs. <br /> b) In case of traffic signal black out, provide temporary STOP signs in <br /> all approaches. <br /> All work will be on an as needed basis determined by the City. The City will issue <br /> work via Department Traffic Orders (DTO's), standard Signing and Striping plans <br /> or other work order requests system. The work varies from a simple sign installation <br /> to major arterial re-striping. <br /> DTO's are Traffic Engineering written work order with signing and striping plan <br /> showing the work to be done. <br /> The contractor is responsible for cat tracks (marking guide lines for the stripe <br /> configuration) and locates sign/curb marking based on information from DTO or <br /> Signing and Striping Plan for approval prior to installation. <br /> 2.2 TIME FOR COMPLETION OF WORK <br /> A. General Response <br /> Assigned work, including DTO's, standard Signing and Striping plans or other work <br /> order requests, shall be completed within 10 working days of receiving <br /> City of Santa Ana Page 9 of 71 <br />
