�'`�-• r SCOPE OF WORK <br /> that the correct thickness of thermoplastic will be applied. Testing of the <br /> thermoplastic application rate, as described above, will be required following <br /> any adjustment to the thermoplastic application rate, thermoplastic <br /> applicator nozzles, or any other thermoplastic application equipment prior to <br /> commencement or re-commencement of striping. The initial testing and re- <br /> testing of thermoplastic application rates at any location shall be considered <br /> as a single thermoplastic application rate test. <br /> The second paragraph of CSS Section 84-3.05 shall be amended to read <br /> as follows: <br /> Street sweeping of the areas to be re-striped will not be required, but <br /> obvious accumulations of loose material or debris shall be removed prior to <br /> application of paint or thermoplastic. <br /> Thermoplastic material shall be applied to the pavement at a temperature <br /> between 4001 F. and 4250 F., unless the manufacturer recommends a <br /> different temperature. <br /> Section 84-2.05, Measurement, and Section 84-2.06, Payment, shall be <br /> deleted. Section 84-3.06, Measurement, and Section 84-3.07, Payment, <br /> shall be deleted. <br /> G. Raised Pavement Markers (RPM's) <br /> Raised pavement markers shall conform to Section 85, "Pavement <br /> Markers," of the CSS and these Special Provisions. Reflective pavement <br /> markers shall have abrasion-resistant surfaces. <br /> 1. REMOVAL - The contractor shall remove any existing raised <br /> pavement markers that do not conform to the channelization plans, and <br /> repair any damaged pavement due to RPM removal to maintain a smooth <br /> and uniform surface per SSPWC Section 302-5.6.2. Any missing or broken <br /> raised pavement markers shall be replaced, in kind, within the project <br /> boundaries. <br /> 2. INSTALLATION — Install raised pavement markers per the <br /> channelization plans in accordance with Section 85-1.06, Placement, of the <br /> CSS, and CSASP Nos. 1125A-C. <br /> Section 85-1.08, Measurement, and Section 85-1.09, Payment, shall be <br /> deleted. <br /> H.
