SCOPE OF WORK <br /> All green bikeway markings shall be Methyl Methacrylate (MMA). MMA shall <br /> have skid resistance and be approved equal to Ennis-Flint CycleGrip MMAX <br /> or Transpo ViziGrip and comply with FHWA requirements. MMA installation <br /> shall follow manufacturer's recommendation. General <br /> All new signs shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor and the City <br /> has the option to supply and provide the necessary signage as part of the <br /> work order. <br /> The sign sizes, messages, and colors shall conform to the current edition of <br /> the Caltrans Sign Specifications. The sign sizes shall be the standard size <br /> shown in the Sign Specifications unless shown otherwise on the plans. The <br /> sign backing material shall be anodized rolled sheet aluminum and shall be <br /> one piece with drilled holes for mounting. <br /> All signs installed in parkways, sidewalks or pedestrian areas shall have a <br /> minimum of 7 feet of vertical clearance from the bottom of the lowest sign to <br /> the surrounding surface. Street name signs shall have a minimum 9 feet of <br /> vertical clearance. All signs installed in raised median areas shall have a <br /> minimum vertical clearance of 4 feet from the existing surface unless shown <br /> otherwise on the plans. <br /> When two signs are installed on one post, the signs shall be installed in the <br /> proper standard vertical positions unless shown otherwise on the plans. <br /> Regulatory, Warning and Guide signs shall be posted above parking <br /> restriction signs.
