Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District Member Appointment <br />December 2, 2025 <br />Page 2 <br />5 <br />4 <br />6 <br />8 <br />The mission of the OCMVCD is to educate and protect Orange County from vectors and <br />prevent vector-borne diseases in an environmentally responsible manner. The District is <br />composed of a 35-member Board of Trustees, consisting of one member from each <br />Orange County city and one member from the county at-large. The Board of Trustees is <br />responsible for the overall governance of the District, including setting District policy, <br />approving the annual budget, establishing strategic goals and objectives, and being an <br />advocate for the District. Additional information on the OCMVCD can be found on their <br />website: www.ocvector.org. <br />The term of office will commence at 12:00 P.M. on January 5, 2026. The Board of <br />Trustees meets at 3:00 P.M. on the third Thursday of every month at the Orange <br />County Mosquito and Vector Control District headquarters located at 13001 Garden <br />Grove Blvd., Garden Grove, CA 92843. Board members receive compensation of $100 <br />per regular Board meeting. <br />The City has complied with FPPC Regulation 18702.5, which required posting those <br />certain paid positions in which members have self-appointing authority. As such, the <br />City Council may vote on this appointment. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />EXHIBIT(S) <br />1.
