The site was intended <br />as an interim location and currently serves approximately 140 students while Cristo Rey <br />sought a permanent facility within the City to accommodate future enrollment expansion. <br /> <br />The school is part of the Cristo Rey Network, a not-for-profit organization founded in 2000 <br />to expand the number of schools modeled after Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, <br />which was established in 1996 to prepare youth from lower-income families for post- <br />secondary educational opportunities.
