PROJECT MANAGER <br />JOSE ROMO <br />General Manager <br />Jose Romo is dedicated full-time to overseeing the team <br />members of the Downtown Santa Ana Clean & Safe <br />program. <br />Jose emigrated to Orange County in 1985 and made <br />Santa Ana his home. He attended Santa Ana College and <br />California State University, Fullerton. In 1991, he had an <br />opportunity to work in Downtown Santa Ana and never left <br />the area. <br />Jose has been part of the fabric of Downtown Santa Ana <br />for over 30 years. Starting as a store manager for five years, <br />Jose then took on the challenge and responsibility of being <br />a business owner and consultant. Jose owned three retail <br />stores on 4th Street in Downtown Santa Ana until the early <br />2010s before deciding to focus his time on the cleaning services business he started in 2009 <br />Jose's company was selected to provide Clean & Safe Team services to Downtown Santa Ana. <br />EXHIBIT 2 <br />In 2014, <br />Jose has created relationships with most of the 700 current Downtown Santa Ana business owners and <br />many residents, including the HOA presidents. Jose responds to all calls for service personally and <br />follows up with individuals who requested the service. Jose visits colleagues, neighbors, and members <br />of his community frequently to ensure constant and clear communication regarding the Clean and <br />Safe needs of Downtown Santa Ana. He also attends local community meetings and gives a report of <br />the team's activities. <br />Jose understands the current Clean & Safe needs of Downtown Santa Ana. Community members know <br />they can call him at any time and trust that issues will be resolved within minutes. Through hard work, <br />responsiveness, and consistent results, Jose has earned the trust of the Downtown Santa Ana <br />community. <br />Jose is a firm believer in teamwork and builds highly successful teams. As a testament to his leadership, <br />most of the DTSA Services team members are tenured employees. Every day, Jose spends time with <br />his employees, briefing them on any issues and assisting them in their routines. Jose has never had <br />staffing problems, a feat that he attributes to his belief in paying employees above the industry average <br />and treating them with respect and gratitude. <br />As a member of the International Downtown Association, Jose has engaged with downtown leaders <br />nationwide, sharing his experiences and gaining insights into effective Clean and Safe approaches <br />from other cities. <br />Jose is excited about the opportunity to continue providing services to Downtown Santa Ana. Jose is <br />also ready and willing to make any necessary changes to the services or team schedules as the needs <br />of Downtown Santa Ana continue to grow and evolve. <br />UM <br />SERVICES <br />05 <br />
