ARTICLE III <br /> 3.0 ATTENDANCE, WORKDAY& WORKWEEK <br /> 3.1 Attendance <br /> Employees covered by this MOU shall be in attendance at their work during hours <br /> prescribed by the Department Head or their designee(s) and shall not absent themselves <br /> without approval of the Department Head or their designee(s). <br /> 3.2 Hours of Work <br /> Eight (8) hours of work shall constitute a normal day and forty (40) hours of work shall <br /> constitute a minimum workweek, except for employees who have been approved for <br /> alternate work schedules as provided in this article by the City Manager, <br /> 3.3 Alternate Work Schedules <br /> A. 4/10 Work Schedule <br /> The Department Head, with the approval of the City Manager, may assign Code <br /> Enforcement Officers, Police Department employees, and selected Fleet Services <br /> employees to a workweek consisting of four (4) ten (10) hour days, with an <br /> additional one-half(0.5) or one (1) hour for an unpaid meal break. The assigned <br /> employee shall work four(4)ten(10)hour days and shall have three(3)consecutive <br /> days off in a workweek. Upon mutual agreement between the supervisor and <br /> employee, the employee may waive their right to three (3) consecutive days off in <br /> a workweek.The regular workweek shall consist of forty(40)hours.A regular day <br /> off shall consist of ten (10) hours. <br /> B. 3/11.5, 115.5_Alternate Work Schedule - Correctional_Records Employ <br /> The Department Head, with the approval of the City Manager, may assign these <br /> employees to a workweek consisting of three (3) eleven and one-half(11.5) hour <br /> days and one (1)five and one-half(5.5)hour day, with an additional forty-Five(45) <br /> minutes for an unpaid meal break.The assigned employee shall have three and one- <br /> half(3.5) consecutive days off in a workweek. Upon mutual agreement between <br /> the supervisor and employee,the employee may waive their right to three and one- <br /> half(3.5) consecutive days off in a workweek. The regular workweek shall consist <br /> of forty (40) hours.
