F. Notwithstanding the specific provisions of Article V, Section 5.2,A—E, employees <br /> who are routinely and consistently assigned to and actually performing duties in a <br /> lead capacity of a functional unit which includes positions in the same or lower <br /> classifications as the incumbent, may be compensated up to five percent (5%) of <br /> base pay for all hours paid for said duties upon mutual agreement of the City and <br /> POA. <br /> The parties agree that to the extent permitted by law, the pay in this section is special <br /> compensation and shall be reported pursuant to Title 2 CCR, Section 571(a)(4) and <br /> 571.1(b)(3) as Lead Worker/Supervisory Premium. However, CalPERS ultimately <br /> determines whether any form of compensation qualifies as special compensation. <br /> 5.3 Training Premium <br /> A. Employees in the class of Police Services Dispatcher who are routinely and <br /> consistently assigned to train employees will be paid assignment pay equal to five <br /> percent (5.0%) of base pay when assigned to train employees. <br /> B. Employees who are routinely and consistently assigned to train as a Training <br /> Officer working in Field Operations, in the Detention facility, as a Forensic <br /> Specialist II, or as the Training Coordinator will be paid two and one half percent <br /> (2.5%) of base pay. <br /> C. Employees who are routinely and consistently assigned to perform training <br /> functions as a Parking Control Officer will be paid two and one half percent(2.5%) <br /> of base pay. <br /> The parties agree that to the extent permitted by law, this pay in this section is special <br /> compensation and shall be reported pursuant to Title 2 CCR, Section 571(a)(4) and <br /> 571.1(b)(3) as Training Premium. However, Ca1PERS ultimately determines whether any <br /> form of compensation qualifies as special compensation. <br /> 5.4 Detective Division Premium <br /> Employees who are routinely and consistently assigned to an investigative unit who <br /> are performing duties of an Internal Affairs Officer will be paid two and one half <br /> percent (2.5%) of base pay. <br /> The parties agree that to the extent permitted by law, the pay in this section is special <br /> compensation and shall be reported pursuant to Title 2 CCR, Section 571(a)(4) and <br /> 571.1(b)(3) as Detective Division Premium.
