Approval of Historic Property Preservation Agreements <br />April 7, 2026 <br />Page 2 <br />action allows for the approval of Historic Property Preservation Agreements (HPPA/Mills <br />Act Contract) which provide a property tax reduction whereby property owners agree to <br />reinvest the tax savings towards the maintenance of the historic property. Additionally, <br />the agreements prevent inappropriate alterations to the protected historic structures. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed project is <br />exempt from further review.
