Fernandez #3142 found , Santa Ana Jail <br />inmate, in his cell and unresponsive .Orange County Fire Authority responded <br />and transported to Orange County Global Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. <br />Correctional Officer Fernandez found J during a routine cell check.J as housed in MOD 3D, cell <br />#D24.J as the only person housed in the cell. <br />On 11/14/20, Orange County District Attorney Investigator T. Toth and I interviewed Correctional Officer <br />Fernandez.The interview with C.O. Fernandez took place in the Stat Trac room (4th floor) of the Santa Ana <br />Police Department.Da torney at Law, was also present during the interview.Investigator <br />Toth audio recorded the interview.The following is a summary of the interview with C.O. Fernandez. <br />SATURDAY November 14, 2020 ±Hours: <br />Prior to her employment with the Santa Ana Police Department, C.O. Fernandez was a Custody Assistant <br />with the Los Angeles County Sheriff¶s Department.She was a Custody Assistant for two years before being <br />hired as a Santa Ana Police Correctional Officer in 2007. <br />C.O. Fernandez currently works Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and every other Saturday.She works the <br />graveyard shift, which starts at 1800 hours and ends at 0630 hours.C.O.
