Officer Report for Incident 20 -02516 Page 5 of 18 <br />Supplem ent <br />On 01 -20 -20 at 2322 hours , FVPD Officers were dispatched to -■ reference Santa Ana PD Off i ce r s i n volved in a shooti ng and they were <br />requesting our assistance. <br />Up on my arrival, I spoke to SAPD Sergeant Azhziger who told me two of his <br />o f ficers were involved in an ors with Mig uel Mercado. During the incident, <br />Mercado presented a handgu n. This handgun was secured by Sergeant Davi d Lima. <br />Sergeant Lima secured the handgun inside his right rear pants pocket. Whil e i t <br />was i nside his poc ket, I noticed the magazine we l l was empty. I r e moved t he <br />ha ndgun from his pocket. I cleared the handgun and found ther e was no round <br />chambered. The handgun was black Heckler & Koch 45 caliber semi-auto handgun <br />(Serial# 25 1 38884). A records check of the handgu n revealed i t was regis t ered <br />to Me rcado. I secured the ha ndgun i n my patrol vehicle. Th e ha ndgun was r e l eased <br />to Orange County Crime Lab Forensic Scientist C. Maggay ( Ca se -#20 -40926), <br />Sergeant Mosher #273 <br />01/29/20
