BERRY requested I respond to West Bishop St. and South Rosewood Ave., Santa Ana, <br />to assist in the investigation. <br />I arrived at approximately 20:55 hours and met with investigators from OCDA, SAPD, and the Orange County Crime <br />Lab (OCCL), who were present to assist in the investigation. <br />At approximately 21:31 hours, SAPD Sergeants MATTHEW WHARTON and LUIS BARRAGAN provided a briefing <br />of the known circumstances surrounding the incident and identified the involved subject as MARVIN RICARDO <br />MELGAREJO. Following the briefing, BERRY assigned SAPD Detective RENE BONILLA and I to supervise the <br />processing of the hospital scene and MELGAREJO'S person.
