Envoy, Red <br />License Plate: <br />Vehicle:SEDAN <br />Status/Hold: <br />Description:2015 Nissan Versa, Aluminum/Silver <br />License Plate: <br />Narrative: <br />On Friday, April 7, 2023, at approximately 1930 hours, Orange County District Attorney (OCDA) Supervising <br />Investigator STAN BERRY contacted me regarding an officer-involved (OIS) involving the Santa Ana Police <br />Department (SAPD). BERRY requested I respond to the area of West Bishop Street and South Rosewood Avenue, <br />in Santa Ana, to assist with the investigation. <br />I arrived at approximately 2055 hours, and met with investigators from the OCDA, SAPD, and Orange County Crime <br />Lab (OCCL) who were present to assist in the investigation. <br />At 2131 hours, SAPD Sergeants MATT WHARTON and LUIS BARRAGAN conducted the briefing of the known <br />circumstances surrounding the incident for the personnel involved in the investigation. <br />Following the briefing, BERRY requested SAPD Detective MICHAEL GIBBONS and I to supervise the processing of <br />the scene by the OCCL. <br />At approximately 2213 hours, the following OCCL personnel processed the crime scene under OCCL FR #23- <br />43030: <br />OCDA 23-001104.004 Report by McCarthy, Claudia 334 Page 4 of 8
