SA 12‐022 <br />Investigator: ANDREW ROSS Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 10/04/12 Date:10/10/12 <br />Page 70 of 76 <br />me and my partner. They were both in the car and I couldn’t get <br />out of their way. If I were to run or move or step back, I would <br />trip, he will probably run me over. The suspect and his partner, <br />the driver was hitting the suspect or his passenger and pointing at <br />me and my partner as he’s revving the engine, as in concert and <br />let’s do this, motivating him. He’s looking forward, plenty of time, <br />stop the car, stop the car, stop the car. He had  the car in gear and <br />he was revving on the brake or the gas and ready to push forward. <br />I knew that if I didn’t stop that vehicle that he was going to run <br />me over. There was fear there. I acted on it. I was trained. I had to <br />minimize that threat. Fast forward  to Sunday, Monday morning in <br />comparison both situations, very, very scary for me. This was <br />more of an intimate setting. I knew he had a weapon and his <br />tactics were that of someone that was going to takeࡕ action and <br />shoot me. What I felt with the guy in the car trying to run me <br />over, bad, scared, yes, but this was more intimate and more <br />threatening. And the fear I felt was like nothing else I’ve ever felt <br />in the short time I’ve been doing this job (BACKGROUND NOISE) <br />and I knew what I was doing was to minimize the threat, because <br />he was going to get me and I had a partner coming and I had not <br />broadcasted anything and potentially kill that partner too ࡕ and <br />that was my mind set. <br />(PAUSE)
