SCOPE OF SERVICES
<br />Task 7 Roadway/Civil Improvements
<br />The full suite of roadway, traffic, lighting, utility,
<br />drainage and landscape plans will be produced,
<br />adhering to the City and SCRRA submittal
<br />requirements.
<br />7.1 Concept Development
<br />Mark Thomas will provide preliminary geometric
<br />drawings for the Metrolink "A" submittal (5%) level.
<br />The geometric drawings will include the following:
<br />• Plans, typical sections, profiles (Santa Ana
<br />Boulevard, Fuller Street, Logan Street,
<br />entrance to SARTIC).
<br />• Plans will generally include geometric
<br />conditions, striping configuration, drainage
<br />considerations, right of way impacts, and
<br />approximate limits of grading.
<br />• Any nonstandard design elements will be
<br />documented (City, SCRRA) and will be
<br />included in a memorandum as part of Task
<br />4.1 and 4.2.
<br />• Preliminary Bridge Improvement Layout for
<br />up to two (2) bridge alternatives.
<br />• Preliminary Stage Construction Concept.
<br />7.2 Roadway Improvements
<br />Mark Thomas will develop the following
<br />improvement plans for the standard sequence of
<br />35%, 65%, 95%, 100%, and Finale
<br />7.2.1 Roadway Plans

<br />7.2.2 Survey Control Plans
<br />Mark Thomas will prepare the Survey Control
<br />plans sheets for the 65%, 95%, 100%, and Final
<br />submittal phases of the Engineering Design. It is
<br />assumed that the following is required:

<br />7.2.3 Signing & Striping
<br />Mark Thomas will develop signing and striping
<br />plans for Santa Ana Boulevard, covering the
<br />segment from Santiago Street to Grand Avenue, to
<br />support the integration of the grade separation
<br />between Santa Ana Boulevard and railroad.

<br />7.2.4 Staging, Traffic Handling, Detours, Site
<br />Control and Fencing Plan
<br />Mark Thomas will develop staging and traffic
<br />handling plans following the latest CAMUTCD
<br />edition. At each stage, at least one travel lane in
<br />both directions and pedestrian access along Santa
<br />Ana Boulevard will remain open. The detour plans
<br />will be based on the latest CAMUTCD edition. The
<br />Site Control and Fencing Plan includes identifying
<br />right-of-way and easement limits, and applicable
<br />railroad agency and city standards, and
<br />coordination with the railroad agency and city to
<br />confirm site control and fencing requirements. The
<br />plan shall identify permanent and temporary site
<br />control areas and define required fencing along the
<br />rail corridor and construction limits to protect
<br />railroad operations, the public, and construction
<br />activities. Fencing limits, types, heights, and gate
<br />locations shall conform to City standards, railroad
<br />standards, and agency's safety requirements.
