On Sunday, June 23, 2013, was in his apartment when he heard what sounded like fireworks, however did not think anything of it. did not witness the shooting incident. On Sunday, June 23, 2013, at approximately 0815 hours, was in her bedroom, when she heard what sounded like fireworks. described four firework noises, a pause and then another four firework noises. heard at least two male voices coming from the west alley. thought she heard one male say, “Stop,” in English. did not witness the shooting incident.
