OCCRIMELAB <br />County Executive Office -District Attorney -Sheriff <br />CRIME LAB REPORT OF EVIDENCE EXAMINATION <br />D ■AND ■ CDUNl'f, DAUJD ■NIA <br />Name: GONZALEZ, Jessica (d) FR#: 13-48764 <br />Crime: Officer Involved Shooting Date: 6/23/2013 Dept: O.C.District Attorney Case#: SA13-0015 <br />OCCL Item# Description of Evidence to be Examined <br />3 Glock Model 21 pistol, .45 Auto caliber, #HAY924 (ESQUIEVEL). <br />5 Two magazines and twenty-four cartridges (ESQUIEVEL). <br />4 Glock Model 22 pistol, .40 Smith & Wesson caliber, #LXN 640 (AYALA). <br />6 Two magazines and thirty cartridges (AYALA). <br />7 Cartridges cases and projectiles from the scene. <br />12 Bullet from white shirt. <br />14 Projectiles from autopsy. <br />Requestor: DAWSON Phone: (714) 347-8817 By: Burke Date: 6/24/13 <br />Type of Examination Requested: Function examinations, gunpowder patterning and casing comparisons. <br />RESULTS and INTERPRETATIONS: <br />The two Glock pistols were test fired and both operated without malfunction. <br />Twelve fired cartridge cases from the scene were determined to have been fired in the Glock Model 21 pistol, <br />#HAY924. <br />Eight fired cartridge cases from the scene were determined to have been fired in the Glock Model 22 pistol, <br />#LXN640. <br />The jacket from EM37 and the bullets from EM32, EM38, EM40 and EM-N all share class characteristics <br />with the Glock Model 21 pistol, #HA Y924. Microscopic comparisons were not done at this time. <br />The bullet from the White Shirt and the jacket from EM28 share class characteristics with the Glock Model 22 <br />pistol, #LXN640. The bullet from EM18 and the jacket fragments from the Left Chest, EM21, EM23, EM29, <br />EM35 and EM-Fall share features that are similar to the SXT® cartridges received with the Glock Model 22 <br />pistol and features that are dissimilar to the T-Series® cartridges received with the Glock Model 21 pistol. <br />Microscopic comparisons were not done at this time. <br />The remaining projectiles lack marks suitable for classification or comparison. <br />An ASCLD/LAB-International accredited laboratory /l~ Page I o/5
