Santa Ana PD 2013-17495: Supplemental Report by #2334 Page 18 of 19 <br />On Sunday June 23, 2013 Elvia Chavez was awakened by six to eight gunshots. Chavez went to her <br />vehicle which was parked by the west alley and saw officers. Chavez returned to her apartment . Chavez <br />did not witness the shooting incident. <br />80 I S. Townsend <br />Investigator Kendrick and I contacted the residents at 801 S. Townsend Street. We obtained the <br />following statements. <br />Apartment# I <br />On Sunday June 23, 2013 Juan Artega was awakened by approximately sixteen to twenty gunshots. <br />Artega looked outside toward the east alley and saw the alley being blocked off by the police. Artega did <br />not witness the shooting. <br />On Sunday June 23, 2013 Jose Artega was awakened by approximately five gunshots. Artega went to <br />the east alley however the police would not allow him to enter the alley. Artega did not witness the <br />shooting incident. <br />Apartment #2 <br />On Sunday June 23, 2013, Daniel Perez was awakened by approximately three or four gunshots from the <br />east alley. Perez did not witness the shooting incident. <br />On Sunday June 23, 20 I 3 Jose Perez was awakened by approximately three to five gunshots. Perez did <br />not witness the shooting incident. <br />Gloria Perez did not witness the shooting incident. <br />Apartment #3 <br />Alex Pacheco did not witness the shooting incident. <br />On Sunday June 23, 2013 Maria Arteaga was awakened by approximately ten to fifteen gunshots <br />coming from the east alley. Arteaga stayed inside her apartment. Arteaga did not witness the shooting <br />incident. <br />Apartment #4 <br />On Sunday June 23, 2013 Martin Moralles was awakened by approximately ten to twenty gunshots. <br />Moralles thought he heard a male voice say in English "drop the weapon"' however he could not be <br />certain. Moralles did not witness the shooting incident. <br />On Sunday June 23, 2013 Diana Lopez was awakend by gunshots.
