Becerra, Alexis
From: Trina Rimmer <
Sent: Wednesday, June 3, 2026 10:31 AM
To: eComment
Subject: Agenda Item #23
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana.Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Dear Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, and Councilmembers,
I am writing regarding Item#23 on the June 2, 2026, council agenda. As the owner of an historic property in downtown
Santa Ana and a concerned citizen, I urge you to continue funding the Historic Resources Commission (HRC)or, at
minimum, make a formal provision to reinstate the commission as soon as the budget permits.
The HRC is a model achievement that was a key factor in my family's decision to invest in this community. It provides
specialized expertise that differs significantly from other commissions, uniquely supporting the General Plan's Historic
Element. Its work is essential to protecting the designated buildings, neighborhoods, and landmarks that define our
city's architectural integrity and rich, multicultural history.
Thank you for your time and for your dedication to preserving Santa Ana's heritage.
Best regards,
Trina Rimmer
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT I LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
TRINACaDRIMMER.NET I TRINARIMMER.COM I LINKEDIN I SUBSTACK
1
