I was signed into the OIS scene by SAPD Patrol Division Officer J. Peralta #3602. <br />2325 Hours: <br />I attended an on scene briefing in regard to the above indicated OIS as conducted by Sgt. <br />Lizardi. Present during this briefing were personnel from the Santa Ana Police Department, <br />Investigators from the Orange County District Attorney's (OCDA) Office Shooting Team, and <br />a member from the Orange County Crime Lab. During this briefing, Sgt. Lizardi <br />disseminated all pertinent information in regard to the incident being investigated as known <br />at the present time. This information, furthermore, was inclusive of the identity of the <br />suspect, Oscar Alvarado, the precise location of the OIS commission, the north-south alley <br />west of 1800 S. Evergreen Street, and the critical information known about the OIS at the <br />time of briefing. This information, furthermore, was inclusive of the crime of Attempted <br />Murder of a Peace Officer as committed by Alvarado upon SAPD IB CAP Gang Suppression <br />Unit (GSU) Detective Corporal D. Acala #3226 and Detective G. Bodnar #3337. The <br />shooting officer involved in the OIS was identified as SAPD GSU Detective E. Solorio #3249 <br />and his partner detective was identified as SAPD GSU Detective E. Martinez #3349. Two <br />civilian witnesses to the OIS were identified as . At the <br />conclusion of Sgt. Lizardi¶s briefing, I was assigned Interviewing Duties and partnered with <br />OCDA District Attorney Investigator D. Melnyk. <br />2341 Hours: <br />I walked the crime/OIS scene, viewing it in its entirety. <br />Tuesday March 12th @ 0001 Hours: <br />I left the crime scene, after being checked out by Officer Peralta, and returned to the SAPD <br />Station in order to further assist with the investigation being conducted. <br />Investigation Continues « <br />Detective M.
