EXHIBIT A <br />CIVIC CENTER A-4 SKYHAWK IRRIGATION REHABILATION <br />Scope of Services that will include the Irrigation Consultation for the following Civic Center A-4 <br />Skyhawk memorial, and the Firefighter memorial as indicated in the site walk on November 9, <br />2009 at the Civic Center in Santa Ana, CA. All construction drawings for this project will be <br />prepared using Auto-CADD release 2007. <br />1.0 IRRIGATION DESIGN DEVELOPMENT <br />A. The Consultant will perform the Design Development services as follows: <br />1. The Consultant shall have a site meeting with The Client and/or the Irrigation Maintenance <br />Supervisor to discuss the project intent, scheduling, preliminary landscape design, and review <br />proposed utilities, and "as -built" irrigation plans relevant to the irrigation system. The Consultant <br />shall take a field survey of the existing irrigation equipment to be able to incorporate this <br />information into the irrigation plan. No pot -holing, or no investigative means to determine pipe <br />size, mainline location/direction, rcv wire runs, and any underground irrigation shall be used to <br />dig up to field locate any of these irrigation underground items during this process. Only the <br />existing "As-Builts" and discussion from the Irrigation Maintenance Supervisor shall be used to <br />determine location, routing, pipe size, etc.. Allowance of a maximum of two (2) site visits one for <br />the on-site, and a maximum 3 hrs including travel time per the site visit. <br />2. The Consultant shall hatch all the irrigation areas to be irrigated to graphically show where all <br />the irrigation shall be installed during the Construction Document phase. <br />3. Prepare preliminary irrigation construction details and legend sheets for appropriate irrigation <br />equipment as necessary to effectively communicate design intent and identify specific <br />components needed to install irrigation assemblies. <br />4. The Consultant shall provide The Client delivered dwf sheet layouts for each submittal set <br />based upon the scope of services described in Section 1.0. Each of the following will be <br />considered a submittal set, and include in the design fee as follows: (1) 100% submittal (detail <br />sheet of D.D. plans for coordination purposes. This shall include hatch areas to be irrigated, and <br />basic notes delineating the intent of the new or upgrade recycled water design on the plan sheet. <br />Non -bidding phase. <br />2.0 IRRIGATION CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS <br />A. The Consultant will perform the Construction Document 100% services as follows: <br />1. Prepare irrigation construction drawings (based on 30" x 42", sheet format at a scale of 1"= <br />20 ❑ -0") on The Client titleblock, along with native AutoCAD base, considering peak demand, <br />exposure, topography, plant materials, soil conditions, maintenance requirements, and <br />installation methods. A conventional spray shall be designed for in the Turf , and drip irrigation <br />for all the shrub and ground cover areas. All other shrub areas shall conform to the State <br />Mandate AB 1881 requirements based upon the limitations or constraints placed upon the <br />site by the State Ordinance. <br />2. Prepare irrigation construction details and irrigation legend/notes for appropriate irrigation <br />equipment as necessary to effectively communicate design intent and identify specific <br />components needed to install irrigation assemblies. <br />IN <br />
