<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> E. President's Leave Time. During the term of this Agreement, the City agrees to <br /> grant the Union President twenty (20) hours per week paid time off which shall be <br /> charged against a Union Leave Bank and subject to the following terms and <br /> conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. The Union President will conduct any Union business performed during <br /> the twenty (20) hours per week off the worksite. However, the President <br /> may conduct Union business on worksites pursuant to Article XVIII, <br /> Section 18.2, Worksite Access provision of the MOU. <br /> <br /> 2. The Department Director of the Union President may approve additional <br /> time off for the Union President for Union seminars and other business on <br /> a prescheduled basis. Such additional time off shall be paid for by the <br /> Union or from the President's vacation or compensatory time bank. <br /> <br /> 3. The Department Director of the Union President will schedule the Union <br /> President to be offsite for four (4) hours each day to conduct Union <br /> business, upon request of the Union. The Department Director shall <br /> schedule the Union President to be offite working on City business four <br /> (4) hours each day five (5) days a week. The Department Director may <br /> change the schedule of the Union President upon reasonable notice to the <br /> Union President. <br /> <br /> 4. During the period of time the Union President is performing City work, he <br /> or she shall receive no phone calls or visitors. Persons who call or wish to <br /> see the Union President during his or her work time shall be referred to the <br /> Union's offsite headquarters. <br /> <br /> 5. Time paid for conducting Union business shall not count towards the <br /> computation of overtime. <br /> <br /> 6. The Union shall reimburse the City for 100% of the salary, including any <br /> premium payments and benefit costs for the President's leave time. Such <br /> reimbursement may be from the bank established pursuant to this <br /> Agreement or directly from the Union. <br /> <br /> 7. The Union agrees to pay for Union Leave and President's Leave within <br /> thirty (30) days of receiving the bill from the City. The bill will be sent on <br /> a monthly basis. If the bill is not paid within thirty (30) days, the City <br /> shall deduct such amount from the Union dues collected from the <br /> employees on behalf of the Union. In the event a portion of the bill is <br /> rightfully contested, the City shall only deduct the non-contested portion <br /> from employee's dues. Any issues related to the bill must be brought to <br /> the attention of the Executive Director of Personnel Services within fifteen <br /> (15) days of its receipt and must be resolved within fifteen (15) remaining <br /> <br /> <br /> 62 <br /> 25F-64 <br />
