Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to <br />execute an agreement with the Confidential Association of Santa Ana regarding wages and other <br />terms and conditions of employment. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The City and the Confidential Association of Santa Ana (CASA) recently completed contract <br />negotiations resulting in a new two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) covering July 1, <br />2010 through June 30, 2012. <br />The provisions of this agreement are as follows: <br />1) Salary: 7/01/10 - 6/30/11 = 0% <br />7/01/11 - 6/30/12 = 4.5% total (2.5% effective 7/1 /11 and 2% effective 1/1 /12). <br />2) Payment toward 2.7% at 55 Service Retirement Benefit: Employees shall contribute an <br />additional 1.0%, for a total of 7.3%, toward the City's "employer" rate. <br />3) Insurance Premiums: Employees shall contribute an additional $40/month toward medical <br />insurance premiums and $10/month toward dental insurance premiums. Employees <br />receiving "cash-back" in lieu of medical coverage will have their cash-back value <br />decreased by $40/month. <br />4) Retiree Health Subsidy: Reduce FY 2010-11 deposit to CASA fund from 1.75% to 1% of <br />base salary, plus premiums. <br />25E-1
