Commissioner Betancourt <br />• No comments <br />Commissioner Gartner <br />• Announced that he will be out of town during the July 24, 2006 meeting. <br />• Requested update on construction plans for Broadway. Staff provided <br />information. <br />Commissioner Lutz <br />• Requested cleanup of construction site for Arnel property at <br />Fourth/Cabrillo Streets, dirt piled along right-of-way with potential spillover <br />to drain. <br />• Requested permit verification for the on-going construction at 1615 <br />Freeman with the new owner. <br />• Requested replacement of four dead trees at Discovery Science Center <br />off of Main Street entrance, near the dinosaur exhibits. <br />• Requested police/fire report on 4th of July activity. Police Officer McCoy <br />will provide information. <br />• Inquired about the cleanup of soil contaminants at Third/Garfield Streets <br />with existing junk yard. Staff indicated the landowner is responsible for <br />cleanup. <br />Chairman Leo <br />• Requested status on Crazy Horse property. Planning Manager Haluza <br />provided information. <br />• Inquired about potential monument sign on Sunflower Street at Antonello's <br />Restaurant in Santa Ana/South Coast Metro area. Planning Manager <br />Haluza provided information. <br />• Inquired about construction at property on Flower/Riviera Streets. <br />Commissioner Gartner provided information. <br />• Commented that the Renaissance Specific Plan will need to have a <br />strategy for dealing with existing heavy industrial users.
