Planning Commission Comments <br />Commissioner Cribb <br />• Requested removal of dead tree north of Santa Clara, west of Wright <br />Street. <br />• Requested removal of dead tree at Park Gibbs entrance, located at Tustin <br />Avenue /north of Seventeenth Street. Ms. Ni has notified the developer. <br />• Requested status of old Bagel Me building. Staff indicated a gift shop <br />(Enderle Center) is pursuing revisions to the property that will be <br />submitted to Planning Commission for approval. <br />• Announced that the South Coast Bistro Cafe was under construction. <br />• Recommended that staff review residential plans thoroughly. Mr. Trevino <br />commented that it is an internal training issue requiring constant vigilance. <br />• Requested cleanup of construction fence at Main Street/Edgewood with <br />the SR22 widening project. <br />• Thanked staff for the Bowers project that is underway. <br />Vice Chairman De La Torre <br />• Requested status of the City's General Plan. <br />• Inquired about Planning's established criteria for modifications and the <br />need to remain consistent and avoid exceptions to current policies. Mr. <br />Trevino discussed the three priority focus areas established by the City <br />Council, the Renaissance Specific Plan, East First/Fourth Streets and <br />North Main Corridor and the timing and implementation plans and that it is <br />important to substantially complete the Renaissance Specific Plan prior to <br />beginning the General Plan update. <br />Planning Commission Agenda 3 JULY 10, 2006 <br />
