<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-01 <br />KO -1 /3/08 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING NEIGHBORHOOD <br />PROJECT REVIEW NO. 2007-18 TO PERMIT THE <br />REHABILITATION OF THE FRONT PORCH AT 1002 <br />NORTH FRENCH STREET WHICH IS LOCATED WITHIN <br />SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT ZONE NO. 19 (SD-19) <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br />A. The Property Owner is requesting approval of Neighborhood Project <br />Review No. 2007-18 to permit the rehabilitation of the front porch at 1002 <br />North French Street which is located within the Specific Development 19 <br />(SD-19) Zoning District (French Park). <br />• B. The French Park Neighborhood Architectural Review Committee has <br />reviewed the proposal and has communicated its support of the project. <br />C. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-593.5(c) requires the Planning <br />Commission to review all plans within a Specific Development Plan area <br />to ensure that the project is in conformity with the approved Specific <br />Development. <br />D. On January 14, 2008, the Planning Commission conducted the necessary <br />review pursuant to Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-593.5(c). <br />E. The Planning Commission, after considering all of the evidence submitted, <br />finds and determines that Neighborhood Project Review No. 2007-18 is <br />consistent with the French Park zoning provisions and Historic French <br />Park Architectural Design Guidelines. <br />1. The rehabilitation project involves a variety of repairs and upgrades to <br />bring the structure into compliance with safety standards while <br />preserving the character defining historic features of the building. <br />2. The new deck for the front porch will incorporate two layers of one <br />inch by four inch redwood tongue and groove boards placed in a <br />• decorative herring bone pattern. <br />Resolution No. 2008-01 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
