<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Rohl/19/10 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2010- <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A SUB- <br /> GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT AND ACCEPTING <br /> ADDITIONAL GRANT AWARD FUNDS AND <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR THE CHIEF OF <br /> POLICE TO APPROVE AN APPROPRIATION <br /> ADJUSTMENT FOR THE ANTI-GANG INITIATIVE GRANT <br /> <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby, finds, determines and <br /> declares as follows: <br /> <br /> A. The California Office of Emergency Services (OES) established an Anti- <br /> Gang Initiative Grant (Grant) and is responsible for implementing the <br /> same. <br /> <br /> B. The Grant provides funds to local police departments for overtime related <br /> expenses related to enforcement of the Santa Nita Gang Injunction, which <br /> will serve to positively impact the community by directly aiding in the <br /> efforts to reduce gang activity. <br /> <br /> C. The City of Santa Ana Police Department was selected to receive a 2006 <br /> Anti-Gang Initiative Grant from OES in the amount of $52,430.00, which <br /> was authorized by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana in Resolution <br /> Number 2007-011. <br /> <br /> D. The State of California Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has now <br /> awarded additional funding in the amount of $25,000.00 for the Grant to <br /> the City of Santa Ana Police Department under sub-grant award # US09 <br /> 047948. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby authorize the City <br /> Manager and the Chief of Police, or their designee(s), to execute and submit any <br /> necessary documents, including but not limited to a sub-grant award agreement, which <br /> may be necessary for the completion of the sub-grant with the State of California <br /> Emergency Management Agency in the amount of $25,000.00. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 55A-3 <br />
